Plans, pricing, and your subscription

Threshold is pay-to-connect
Threshold is a paid app. Connecting a bank requires an active subscription or the 14-day free trial. There is no free tier for live bank connections. The first time you tap a Connect Accountbutton, if you're not already subscribed, the plan picker appears so you can start your trial or subscribe before the connection flow opens.
What's included
Every subscription unlocks the full app. There are no feature tiers. Membership includes:
- Connecting your bank and investment accounts to monitor spending and investments
- Tracking progress toward your goals
- Creating unlimited custom calculations
- Organizing your finances with AI through Threshold's MCP server. See Connect to Claude for setup.
Plans and pricing
There are two plans, and you can pick either one when you subscribe:
- Monthly: $12.99 / month
- Annual: $99.99 / year, which works out cheaper than paying month to month for a full year
Both plans unlock exactly the same features; the only difference is the billing period and price. The current price always shows on the plan picker before you commit, so you can confirm the exact amount and billing period for your region.
The 14-day free trial
New subscribers start with a 14-day free trial. A few things to know:
- The trial includes full access for 14 days.
- When the trial ends, it automatically converts to a paid subscription at the plan you chose, unless you cancel first.
- The free trial is offered once per Apple ID. If you've subscribed before, you won't see the trial again. You'll subscribe at the regular price.
To avoid being charged, cancel before the trial's last day (see below). Canceling during the trial keeps your access until the trial period ends.
How billing works
All billing runs through Apple and your App Store account. Threshold never sees or charges your card directly. Your subscription auto-renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple ID is charged within 24 hours before each renewal.
Managing or canceling your subscription
Because billing is handled by Apple, you manage and cancel from your device's Apple Subscriptions settings, not from inside Threshold:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap your name at the top to open your Apple ID.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Threshold in the list of subscriptions.
- Switch between Monthly and Annual, or tap Cancel Subscription to stop future renewals.
Canceling stops the next charge but does not end access immediately. You keep your subscription until the end of the period you've already paid for (or the end of your free trial).
Restoring a purchase
Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID. After reinstalling Threshold or switching devices, open the plan picker and tapRestore Purchases. As long as you're signed in with the same Apple ID that holds the subscription, Threshold will find it and restore your access. If nothing is found, double-check that you're signed in to the correct Apple ID.
Trying Threshold before you subscribe
Threshold includes a demo canvas with sample accounts, transactions, and metrics. You can explore it before subscribing. A subscription or trial is required when you connect your own bank.
For the connection walkthrough itself, see Connecting your first bank account.
