Working with Multiple Canvases
Last updated: August 13, 2026
Bank connections and account data are shared across canvases. Each canvas can show different content and keep its own section order.
What's shared and what's canvas-specific
| Item | How it works |
|---|---|
| Bank connections, accounts, and balances | Shared |
| Transactions | Shared |
| Goals and calculations | Shared, and can be added to more than one canvas |
| Account visibility | Canvas-specific |
| Groups and portions | Canvas-specific |
| Section order | Canvas-specific |
| Transactions, Investments, and Categories sections | Enabled per canvas |
Common multi-canvas setups
Everything canvas: Keep every account visible for a complete financial picture.
Retirement canvas: Show retirement and brokerage accounts, add your retirement goal, and move Goals or Investments higher in the stack.
Day-to-day canvas: Focus on checking, savings, credit cards, Transactions, and Categories.
Goals canvas: Show the goals and calculations you check most often while hiding unrelated accounts.
Creating a new canvas
- Return to Home using the menu in the top-left of a canvas.
- Tap the + beside My Canvases.
- Give the canvas a name and, optionally, an emoji.
- Choose Use Essentials Template or Start from scratch.
- Tap Create.
- Use Essentials Template: Starts with Net Worth, Transactions, Categories, and draft goals for retirement, emergency savings, and debt paydown.
- Start from scratch: Creates an empty canvas.
In the new canvas, switch to Build and tap + to add an existing goal or calculation. It appears in its corresponding section, and its underlying data stays synchronized everywhere it is shown.
Switching between canvases
Tap the menu in the top-left to return Home, then choose another canvas under My Canvases. Each canvas keeps its own section order, visible accounts, and enabled sections.
