Creating and managing groups

A group organizes related accounts and portions and shows their combined balance. Groups are canvas-specific and appear together in the Groups section.

Creating a group

  1. Switch to Build, then tap + → Group.
  2. Give the group a clear name and, optionally, an emoji.
  3. In Add Accounts, turn on the accounts you want in the group.
  4. Tap Create Group.

The group appears in the Groups section with its accounts and combined balance.

Adding accounts later

  1. Tap the group to open it.
  2. Open Edit Group.
  3. Under Add Accounts, turn on any available account you want to move into the group.

An account can belong to one group on a canvas. Accounts already in a group or goal are not offered as available additions.

Adding portions

If you have split an account, open Edit Group and useAdd Portions. Turn on the available portion you want to include. Only that portion's balance contributes to the subtotal.

Removing an account or portion

Open Edit Group. Under Contained Items, turn off the account or portion you want to remove. The item remains in Threshold and returns to its regular canvas section.

Renaming a group

In Edit Group, change the name or icon, then tapSave Changes.

Deleting a group

Delete the group from its settings when you no longer need it. This removes the group and its subtotal, but it does not delete its accounts or portions.

Reordering the Groups section

In Build mode, hold the reorder handle for the whole Groups section and move it up or down in the canvas stack. Individual groups remain organized inside that section.
